Here�s the information on the Clutch Covers offered by Axljak Racing.
As you can see
from the photo above, we sell covers
that will protect your clutch during a crash while still adding to the
appearance of your bike, (it looked better before the crash). We like to start with "function"
first then work on "form". We've seen plenty of covers
with elaborate cut outs that wouldn't protect a clutch if the bike fell
over at a street light let alone a low-side at a track day. This cover
was made for our good friends at BCM Motorsports in New Hampshire and is
an example of what we can do for Dealers and Clubs.
They�re made from solid billet aluminum just like
our impeller guards and are just under 5mm thick. Our standard vent
configuration is 6 but we can provide any
number of vents and configurations from 0 to 8. We feel that's as much
ventilation as necessary without reducing the strength of the cover. There is plenty of
room between the clutch and cover to eliminate the need for the rubber
gasket.
We can provide you the additional service
of engraving a logo onto the clutch cover. If
you
provide the artwork in an acceptable file format, (.dwg or .dxf ), it
saves time and money. We can also generate the artwork in our
software, our artwork rate is $70/hr. This is a one time charge per
logo.
We allow 7 minutes machine time for
engraving. Any engraving taking longer than that will incur
additional charges of $1/minute per cover. For example, a logo taking 10
minutes would add $3 to the cost of each cover. Most logos can be
done in 7 minutes or less. If you require engraving after anodizing
there is an additional charge of $20 per cover for quantities of 5 or
less. This is for the extra
setup and machine time. Covers are available in Polished Aluminum or
Black Anodized. Other colors
are subject to individual quote.
Retail prices are $208 for
non-anodized and $218 each for the anodized covers. We offer quantitive
discounts to Clubs as well as Dealers.
